About me

Hello Everyone,

My name is Divya Mittal, rank 68 in CSE 2012. This blog has been created to help Civil Service aspirants and to share notes made over the course of my preparation. I have been lucky to have cleared the CSE thrice consecutively.

Background:
·         CSE-2012 Rank 68, Allocated IAS (3rd attempt, Economics, Commerce)
·         CSE-2011 Rank 134, Allocated IPS (2nd attempt, Economics, Management)
·         CSE-2010 Rank 332, Allocated IRS(IT) (1st attempt, Economics, Management)
·         Education: B.Tech ( IIT Delhi), MBA ( IIM Bangalore)

The motivation behind the blog comes from Rabindranath Tagore's lines, "Where knowledge is free...., ...Into that heaven of freedom, my Father, let my country awake."

I have myself immensely benefitted from the knowledge shared by various toppers across the years and from the internet which has made access to knowledge easier and cheaper for everyone. I believe it is my duty to do as much as possible for those who need it, especially those sitting in remote corners of the country.

The journey as an IAS officer has been the following till now:

  • Assistant Secretary at Niti Aayog, 2015
  • Sub divisional magistrate at Meerut, 2015- 2017
  • Chief Development Officer at Gonda, 2017- 2018
  • Joint Managing Director at UP State Industrial Development Corporation, 2018 - present

Thanks
Divya

  4. Hi mam.
I have done my engg from NIT and MBA from IIM C.
Preparing for civil services. It seems you had taken management as an optional and later shifted to a different optional. Would like to know the pros and cons of taking management as optional. Any specific reason why you decided to shift your optional in the third attempt.

  8. Hi madam,
I’m from Thrissur in Kerala .I went for coaching for almost an year here. But the preparations haven’t been satisfactory.I’m planning to move to Delhi for coaching in both mains and optionals(history). But I was told by many that coaching in Delhi will be a repetition and notes from coaching institutes would b enough. Is it better to go for notes than coaching, mam? Also pls let me know about the options for history coaching.
