SAMPLE QUESTION NO. 6 (CASE STUDY)
You are posted as the Medical Superintendent of a District
level Govt Hospital which caters to the need of poor patients from surrounding rural
areas along with the local people from the district town. As such the hospital has very good
infrastructure and adequate equipment to cater to this need. It also receives
sufficient funds to meet the recurring expenditure. Inspite of this there have
been repeated complaints particularly from the patients which include the
following
- Very poor maintenance and un-hygienic conditions in hospital premises.
- The hospital staff frequently demanding bribes from the patients for the services rendered.
- The negligent attitude of the Doctors resulting in times of casualties.
- Siphoning of a substantial stock of medicine by the staff and selling it out.
- Strong nexus between the senior Doctors of the hospital and the owners of local private nursing homes and testing labs as a result of which the patients are strongly misled and dissuaded from availing the hospital facilities and rather compelled to purchase costly medicines from market and get medical tests and even operations done from private medical houses.
- There also exist a notorious employee union which puts undue pressure and resents any reformative step by the administration.
Ponder over the situation and
suggest effective ways to tackle each of the above mentioned problem.

Hi mam
ReplyDeleteGlad to have an opportunity to interact with you.
I am a beginner at civil service examinations. I am facing a great deal of difficulty in choosing my optional subject. Unlike you neither i was serious at my graduation nor after that in competitive examinations. I have completed B.E in electronics and telecommunications ( just sounds great but frankly speaking i studied "nothing ") .please take this seriously mam, i really didnt studied anything. Hence i cannot choose any of those subjects from engg and mathematics too. Pls guide me to choose my subject considering me to be a novice at all other subjects. Ex - history, georgraphy , public administratration, sociology or anything else. I want you to give some advice regarding which subject to choose which i can make my strenth and score good.
And also how does it affect being an engg. Graduate choosing a subject out of league??
I consider this to be my biggest drawback and can hinder my selection at cse.. pls guide mam
Respected mam,
ReplyDeleteI have just left my job at Cognizant & presently have started preparing for civil services.I have gone through ur whole blog & found various important guidelines essential for cracking this exam.
As I'm from engineering background,i'm finding it difficult to understand economics & polity, also reading continuously for long hours is making me exhausted.
Can u explain how to approach for this examination from the beginning like how much minimum time daily we should study, how we can sit for long hours, how to make time proper time table.
I know these r silly questions but they r fundamentally as vital as is the exam paper. Can u share ur whole strategy from the beginning?? including ur motivation factor for three consecutive efforts.
I know i'm asking u a lot but i'm helpless.
Can u share ur mail-id for some personal questions ??
Thanks
